Finally got to see ' Tropical Butterfly', the exquisite technicolor dress, part of  Manish Arora's Pop Art collection, features over 1000 individual butterflies that glow in the dark and took over 3 months to complete.

Little Shilpa's  fantastic kitsch number with lots of combs, dust-pans,tea-strainers and her signature fabric origami flowers. This ones all about the multitasking woman.

Turbanisation

Post the New York-London-Paris-Milan drill for Fall/Winter 2010, one accessory trend that was quite evident was the Turban development in a variety of plush fabrics, Mohair, wool suitings, sweater knits, jerseys, Dressier velvet, leather and lamé. Bow fronts, gathered and knotted, turbans can be both offered in hat and headband form.

Louis Vuitton & Diwali

All you fashionistas has one more reason to celebrate this festive season as the acclaimed French fashion house - Louis Vuitton will pay tribute to Diwali. Beginning November 5th, the luxury brand in collaboration with cultural impressario Rajeev Sethi displays shop windows featuring hand-painted paper trunks glowing from within. Truly an  Of Trunks And Wardrobes moment!
Besides the ethnic decor, the products range will include limited edition dresses made of vintage sari fabrics.

Them Tees

I totally dig extra large men's tshirts which can be worn with or without leggings.
Just like this kid sporting a pink Zara basics tee with a Beatles bag and classic Wayfarers. Uber cool I say.

Urban Turban

While photo-walking the streets of the Walled City (Old Delhi), I came across several heards sporting turbans. Its a lost hertiage of India. Considered a symbol of pride, a turban still holds quite a lot of significance. Be it Punjab, Sindh, Gujarat or Maratha , a Pagdi can be spotted in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

I particularly like the way this gentleman has casually wrapped up a checkered cloth to make up a turban, ideal to beat the scorching Delhi sun. I understand that fashion would be last thing on this man's mind but sometimes traditions make a style statement too!

A stich in time.

Okay, I'm going to blow my own trumpet here (Triumphantly!) as I stiched a summer dress for my leetle cousin. Used comfortable cotton and jazzed it up with elastic and ziz-zag lace trim details. She loved it, ofcourse!
